On October 1, as you may have heard, the beloved Down Payment Assistance Programs are going away, due to the H.R. 3221 bill signed into law last month. Well, fully 70% of the loans that I have structured over the years for First Time Homebuyers were either 100% financing, or were FHA loans that utilized Down Payment Assistance, effectively making the deals 100% financing.
All that is going away. These Down Payment Assistance programs were the only thing left for most first time buyers to get into a home without a heafty down payment. Don’t worry, though.
